About Legitimate Fiction

The history of Legitimate Fiction goes way back to the end of 2004/early 2005, when I started a Gackt Camui fansite titled Fading Memory. The name came from the drug-like song "Fragrance". If you're a fan of Japanese rock/pop, that is a definite MUST listen. The site supplied simple Gackt layouts and graphics, as well as all singles and discography up that point in time. The site constantly being updated. It provided all that a Gackt-heaven needed. When the computer I was using at that time died, the regular updating vanished completely.

When updating became possible again, it was late October '05, and it was all thanks to an extremely late graduation present from my parents. I gave myself a day to sit down and regain all of my files. I made a mistake by wiping out my FTP to start fresh and update the files. How was this a mistake? None of the files saved except for Gackt's biography page...I lost everything. I no longer had time to recover all that information, and so...Fading Memory temporarily closed.

By November, I'd re-opened FM by making it a mini interactives site. This ranked in plenty of visitors. Almost immediatly I had forms being sent in. With the hauling in of visitors, I began to make the site grow, adding a few more features. Soon enough, I felt safe with changing the name...Fading Memory was meant to be the name of my Gackt fansite, and so, the name changed to Candy Romance.

I have horrible luck...In the middle of summer 2006, modem problems arose. I completely lost connection to the internet. It would be some time before I would regain an internet connection, and it would take switching from Optimum Online to Verizon DSL for me to have internet access again.

There were several attempts at bringing the site back, but nothing would work. Originally, the name was going to be Hazardous!, but that would do no good. There was maybe an hour of 'work' one day in January, and then nothing would be done afterward.

It would took good ol' me getting grounded that would give me a kick in the butt to work on the site..While reading The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by Shakespeare I began to get ideas for a new name...And a poster in the classroom with quotes from Shakespearean plays gave me an idea, Sweetest Sorrow was set to be the new name...until I got home one day and decided to check out Edgar Allan Poe quotes...It was the phrase Legitimate Fiction that clicked even better than Sweetest Sorrow.

Legitimate Fiction would be the name to stick when revamping. It's a rock-solid, hardcore name, and it's going to stay.
