Quick Band Bio

California based, and classified as pop-punk/punk rock, Green Day is made up by three cool people named Billie Joe Armstrong with his lead vocals and guiatar, Mike Dirnt on guitar alongside Billie Joe as well as provides backing vocals, and Tré Cool on drums and also providing backing vocals.

Since Green Day's sixth album, the trio have welcomed close friend and associate, the back-up guitarist Jason White. Other prominent pop-punk bands such as Sum 41 and the now-split Blink 182 have been influenced hugely by Green Day's success. After a ten year absence, Green Day returned with American Idiot, and has become the band's second best-selling album----Dookie, the previous album before American Idiot, is the BEST-selling one.
